2:1拿俄米的丈夫以利米勒的親族中、有一個人名叫波阿斯、是個大財主。 2:2摩押女子路得對拿俄米說、容我往田間去、我蒙誰的恩、就在誰的身後拾取麥穗、拿俄米說、女兒阿、你只管去。 2:3路得就去了、來到田間、在收割的人身後拾取麥穗、他恰巧到了以利米勒本族的人波阿斯那塊田裏。 2:4波阿斯正從伯利恆來、對收割的人說、願耶和華與你們同在．他們回答說、願耶和華賜福與你。 2:5波阿斯問監管收割的僕人說、那是誰家的女子。 2:6監管收割的僕人回答說、是那摩押女子、跟隨拿俄米從摩押地回來的。 2:7他說、請你容我跟着收割的人、拾取打捆剩下的麥穗、他從早晨直到如今、除了在屋子裏坐一會兒、常在這裏。 2:8波阿斯對路得說、女兒阿、聽我說、不要往別人田裏拾取麥穗、也不要離開這裏、要常與我使女們在一處。 2:9我的僕人在那塊田收割、你就跟着他們去、我已經吩咐僕人不可欺負你、你若渴了、就可以到器皿那裏喝僕人打來的水。 2:10路得就俯伏在地叩拜、對他說、我既是外邦人、怎麼蒙你的恩、這樣顧恤我呢。 2:11波阿斯回答說、自從你丈夫死後、凡你向婆婆所行的、並你離開父母和本地、到素不認識的民中、這些事人全都告訴我了。 2:12願耶和華照你所行的賞賜你、你來投靠耶和華以色列 神的翅膀下、願你滿得他的賞賜。 2:13路得說、我主阿、願在你眼前蒙恩、我雖然不及你的一個使女、你還用慈愛的話安慰我的心。 2:14到了喫飯的時候、波阿斯對路得說、你到這裏來喫餅、將餅蘸在醋裏。路得就在收割的人旁邊坐下、他們把烘了的穗子遞給他、他喫飽了、還有餘剩的。 2:15他起來又拾取麥穗、波阿斯吩咐僕人說、他就是在捆中拾取麥穗也可以容他、不可羞辱他。 2:16並要從捆裏抽出些來、留在地下任他拾取、不可叱嚇他。 2:17這樣、路得在田間拾取麥穗、直到晚上、將所拾取的打了約有一伊法大麥． 2:18他就把所拾取的帶進城去、給婆婆看、又把他喫飽了、所剩的給了婆婆。 2:19婆婆問他說、你今日在那裏拾取麥穗、在那裏作工呢、願那顧恤你的得福．路得就告訴婆婆說、我今日在一個名叫波阿斯的人那裏作工。 2:20拿俄米對兒婦說、願那人蒙耶和華賜福、因為他不斷的恩待活人死人．拿俄米又說、那是我們本族的人、是一個至近的親屬。 2:21摩押女子路得說、他對我說、你要緊隨我的僕人拾取麥穗、直等他們收完了我的莊稼。 2:22拿俄米對兒婦路得說、女兒阿、你跟着他的使女出去、不叫人遇見你在別人田間、這纔為好。 2:23於是路得與波阿斯的使女、常在一處拾取麥穗、直到收完了大麥和小麥．路得仍與婆婆同住。

弟兄姊妹大家好，今天我們要一起研讀《路得記》第二章第一至二十三節，題目是「拾穗遇恩，田間蒙福」。
在前面的經文中，我們讀到路得在丈夫去世後，跟隨拿俄米回到伯利恆。回到伯利恆後，生活的問題必須解決，因此路得對拿俄米說：「讓我到田間去，看看能否蒙誰的恩情，在誰的身後拾取麥穗。」這裡特別提到「在身後拾取」，其實這正是猶太人的社會福利制度——當農戶收割、捆綁莊稼時，沿途難免有麥穗掉落，律法允許有需要的人在後面拾取，以幫助生活困難的人。路得正是抱著這樣的心願，去田間拾取麥穗。
聖經記載，她「恰巧」來到一塊田地，這田地屬於一位名叫波阿斯的人，他是拿俄米本族的人。當時波阿斯從伯利恆來到田間，問收割的人：「這是誰的女子？」收割的人回答說：「她是摩押女子路得」，並解釋了她與拿俄米的關係及處境。
在第八、九節，波阿斯對路得說：「女兒啊！聽我說，不要到別人的田裡拾取麥穗，也不要離開這裡，要常與我的使女們在一處。我已吩咐僕人不可欺負你。」於是，路得在田間拾取麥穗時，蒙受了保護與恩待。
「田間」象徵我們日常的生活——工作的職場、學習的校園、生活的場景。你是否想過，你的「田間」是否也蒙恩？也得福呢？這些生活的機會與供應，其實都是上帝藉著環境所賜的祝福。
第三節提到「路得恰巧到了波阿斯的田」。我們生命中有多少「恰巧」？恰巧到某地讀書，恰巧進入某家公司工作，從此人生軌跡改變。我想起我的女兒，在海外上大學時認識了我的女婿；也想起許多弟兄姊妹，因工作或生活的環境中，認識了重要的人，甚至遇見了配偶，人生的下半場因此不同。我自己年輕時，也曾「碰巧」有機會到內地工作，原本打算短暫停留，卻因旅途中遇見一位宣教士，受到激勵而立志全職事奉主。這些「碰巧」，究竟只是偶然，還是神計劃的一部分？弟兄姊妹，讓我們回想生命中的「恰巧」，在生活的田間經歷神藉不同的人所帶來的恩典與祝福。
聖經中，波阿斯是耶穌基督的預表。路得原是外邦摩押女子，卻因波阿斯的接納進入以色列的祝福，甚至被記入耶穌基督的家譜。我們本也是外邦人，卻因耶穌基督在十字架上的救贖，得著恩典臨到我們身上。
在第十至十二節，波阿斯對路得說：「願耶和華照你所行的賞賜你，你來投靠耶和華以色列神的翅膀下，願你滿得祂的賞賜。」波阿斯沒有說「我賞賜你」，而是將榮耀歸給神。這提醒我們，耶穌也曾說：「子所作的，是遵父的旨意。」
今天，在生活、職場的田間，或許我們是蒙恩的路得，也可能是神藉著我們成為波阿斯一樣的施恩管道；當我們流露祝福時，是將榮耀歸自己，還是歸給神？
最後，我會以拿俄米與路得的對話作結束。在第十九節，拿俄米問路得：「你今天在哪裡拾取麥穗？在哪裡作工呢？願那顧恤你的得福。」這裡「顧恤」原文是 “take notice”，意為關心、留意。今天，我們是否成為那位「留心別人需要」的波阿斯？生活中每天都有許多事發生，我們是只關注自己的事，還是也能「顧恤」， 留意別人的需要？
我願意奉主耶穌的名祝福每一位弟兄姊妹，在你的生活的田間都蒙恩，如同路得經歷波阿斯的祝福一樣；主會使用不同的人，讓你經歷祂的祝福與眷顧；同時，也願主使用我們像波阿斯般，成為流通的管道，去顧恤有需要的人。願主賜福大家。
Brothers and sisters, greetings to you all. Today we will study Ruth 2:1–23, and the theme is “Finding Grace While Gleaning, Blessed in the Field.”
In the previous passage, we read that after Ruth’s husband died, she returned with Naomi to Bethlehem. Once they arrived, daily needs still had to be met, so Ruth said to Naomi:
“Let me go to the fields and pick up the leftover grain behind anyone in whose eyes I find favor.” (cf. Ruth 2:2, NIV) This phrase “behind anyone” refers to the Jewish social welfare system: when farmers harvested and bundled crops, some grain naturally fell to the ground. The Law allowed the poor and needy to glean behind the workers. With this humble hope, Ruth went to the fields to gather leftover grain.
Scripture records that she “as it turned out” came to a field belonging to a man named Boaz, who was from Naomi’s clan. When Boaz arrived from Bethlehem and saw Ruth, he asked the harvesters, “Who does that young woman belong to?” (Ruth 2:5, NIV). The workers replied that she was Ruth the Moabite and explained her situation and her relationship with Naomi.
In verses 8–9 (NIV) Boaz said to Ruth:
“My daughter, listen to me. Don’t go and glean in another field and don’t go away from here. Stay here with the women who work for me… I have told the men not to lay a hand on you.”
Thus, while Ruth gleaned in the field, she experienced protection and kindness.
The “field” symbolizes our everyday life—the workplace, the school, our living environment. Have you ever wondered whether your field is also blessed? Whether you have received grace there? Many opportunities and provisions in life are actually blessings given by God through our circumstances.
Verse 3 says that Ruth “as it turned out” found herself working in Boaz’s field. How many “as it turned out” moments have happened in our own lives? “As it turned out” you enrolled in a certain school… “as it turned out” you joined a certain company… and your life changed.
I remember how my daughter met my son-in-law while studying overseas. I also think of many brothers and sisters who, through their workplace or living environment, met important people—some even met their future spouses—and their life direction changed forever. When I was young, I also “happened” to have the chance to work in Mainland China. I originally planned to stay only a short time, but during the trip I met a missionary whose influence inspired me to dedicate my life to full-time ministry.
Are these “coincidences” truly accidental, or are they part of God’s plan? Brothers and sisters, let us reflect on the “as it turned out” moments in our lives and recognize God’s grace and blessings brought to us through different people in our life’s field.
In Scripture, Boaz is a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ. Ruth was a Moabite foreigner, yet through Boaz’s acceptance she entered into Israel’s blessing and was even included in the genealogy of Jesus Christ. We too were once outsiders, but through the redemption of Jesus Christ on the cross, grace has come upon us.
In Ruth 2:12 (NIV) Boaz said to Ruth:
“May the LORD repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”
Boaz did not say, “I will reward you,” but instead gave glory to God. This reminds us of the words of Jesus: the Son does the will of the Father.
Today, in the fields of our life and workplace, we may sometimes be a “Ruth,” receiving grace; at other times God may use us to be like “Boaz,” channels through whom His grace flows. When we bless others, do we take the credit for ourselves, or do we give glory to God?
Finally, I want to end with the dialogue between Naomi and Ruth. In verse 19, Naomi asked her:
“Where did you glean today? Where did you work? Blessed be the man who took notice of you!” (NIV).
The phrase “took notice” in the original carries the meaning of caring and paying attention. Today, are we willing to be like Boaz—someone who “takes notice” of others’ needs? Many things happen every day. Are we only aware of our own concerns, or can we also pay attention to the needs of those around us?
I would like to bless every brother and sister in the name of the Lord Jesus: may you experience grace in the fields of your life, just as Ruth experienced the blessing of Boaz. May the Lord use different people to show you His care and favor. And may the Lord also use us, like Boaz, to be channels of blessing to those in need.
