THE DESIRE FOR GOD

Scripture: Isaiah 26:9 My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness. 

What is the chief thing, the greatest and most glorious, that man can see or find upon earth? Nothing less than God Himself.
        
And what is the chief and the best and the most glorious thing that a man needs every day, and can do every day? Nothing less than to seek and to know, and to love and to praise this glorious God. As glorious as God is, so is the glory which begins to work in the heart and life of the man who gives himself to live for God.
        
Dear brothers and sisters, have you learnt what is the first and the greatest thing you have to do every day?
        
Nothing less and nothing greater than to seek this God, to meet Him, to worship Him, to live for Him and for His glory. It is a great step in advance in the life of a Christian when he truly sees this and yields himself to consider fellowship with God every day as the chief end of his life.
       
Take time and ask whether this be not the truth, the highest wisdom and the one thing for which a Christian is above all to live—to know his God aright, and to love Him with his whole heart. Do believe that it is not only in very deed true, but that God Himself is most desirous that you should live thus with Him and will, in answer to prayer enable you to do so.
        
Begin today and take a word from God--- Book to speak to Him in stillness of soul.
        
Psalms 63:1 O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. 

Psalms 119:2 Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart. 

Repeat these words in deep reverence and childlike longing till their spirit and power enter your heart; and wait upon God till you begin to realize what the blessedness is of thus meeting with Him. As you persevere you will learn to expect that the fear and the presence of God can abide with you through all the day.

渴慕上帝

經文: 「夜間我心中羡慕祢，我裡面的靈切切尋求祢！」（以賽亞書廿六：9）

一生中最大、最榮耀的事，莫過於尋找上帝、遇見上帝；在每一天中最大、最榮耀，最需要的事，也是摸著上帝，並且愛慕、讚美這位榮耀的上帝。因爲這位上帝是這樣一位榮耀的王，所以那些將自己獻上，爲祂而活的信徒，上帝也要在他們的心中做工，使他們在生活中顯出上帝的榮美。

親愛的弟兄姐妹們，你可知道每一天最重要的事是什麽嗎？就是尋找上帝、遇見上帝，敬拜祂，爲祂的榮耀而活。一個真正的基督徒，當他看清楚這點，且願意將自己獻上當做活祭，就會將與上帝親近當作第一件大事來做。

花些時間求問上帝，相信這真理是最高的智慧，也是基督徒一生的職志——更認識上帝，並全心全意地愛祂。不但堅信這是千真萬確的事，而且要明白上帝的心意，祂也渴望我們與祂親近，讓祂有機會回應我們的禱告，將各樣的恩典賜給我們，使我們充足行各樣的善事。

今天就開始，在靈裡安靜時用上帝的話來禱告：

「上帝啊，祢是我的上帝，我要切切的尋求祢。在乾旱疲乏無水之地，我渴想祢，我的心切慕祢。」（詩六三：1）
「遵守祂的法度，一心尋求祂的，這人便爲有福。」（詩一一九：2）

用孩童對父母般的依戀，以及虔誠恭敬的態度，一再向上帝重複上列的經文，並且安靜等候，上帝要向你展笑顔、施恩典。若你能有恒心毅力地常在心中默想這些上帝的話語，上帝的同在就會因你對他的敬畏，而在一整天都保守你在祂的愛中。

「我曾耐性等候耶和華。祂垂聽我的呼求。」（詩篇四十：1）

教育兒女不與世俗作朋友

聖經中神警告我們：「豈不知與世俗為友就是與神為敵嗎？所以凡想要與世俗為友的，就是與神為敵了。」（雅4:4） 世俗通常指這世界上的人與事，世界或世人為甚麼等同於世俗，因為撒但是「這世界的神」（林後4:4）、「這世界的王」（約12:31），世界是撒但臨時掌權的地方。撒但從亞當和夏娃的手中騙得了神當初賜給他們的世界管理權，用罪的豔美來控制每個人的致命弱點，滿足人的罪性欲望，從而使人在罪中享樂，與神為敵。所以不認識神的人就會在「撒但的網羅」中（參提後2:26），「臥在那惡者手下」（約壹5:19）。我們信了主的人又如何？雖有神的保守，但是我們常常不抓住神，逃避神，從而成為撒但的俘虜。撒但俘擄人，甚至從人幼小的時候就開始利用人的罪性欲望，來滿足人的自私自我。 如今，美國的一些幼稚園裡，竟然有同性戀平等、性別混亂方式的灌輸和洗腦。孩子從小就能在電視和電子產品中接觸很多不純不良不美的資訊，善惡錯亂，再大一些就有在性別和性、物質享受和攀比等方面，一步步走向歪門邪道。作為基督徒父母，千萬要重視和警醒起來，不能片面地只抓孩子的身體和學習。教養兒女的最重要方面，就是自小培養他們有一個正確的分別善惡的意識行為，引領他們不要樂於跟潮流，與世俗做朋友。否則等他們長大後，要改正自己，就會難而又難，就如樹大之後，歪了的樹幹就很難修正。 所以，父母如何教養兒女不與世俗為友，至少要注意以下三個方面： 1) 第一，不以世界為自己的人生參照，在孩子小時候，應該讓他們知道自己是獨一無二的，是和別人不一樣的。 孩子成長過程中，很期望得到同伴關注，很想得到別人的接納而贏得朋友，所以很容易跟潮流學別人的樣式。有些孩子在與人攀比中自卑自怨，甚至抱怨父母不滿足他們的想法要求，不喜歡父母對他們的限制，因而逆反父母。 父母要認真地從小帶他們去教會，讓孩子在教會的環境中與同伴互動，接受適合兒童的聖經教育，讓他們從心裡去愛和敬畏神，不敢做那些神不喜歡的事。孩子們比大人單純，聽懂多少就容易去遵行。 當然，教會的薰陶還不夠，父母也要在家中，根據性別和年齡，選擇適合他們的靈修讀物，陪他們每天一起靈修。在靈修中，用聖經的道理幫助孩子知道自己與別人的不一樣。 神造人不是用一個模具，像工廠出產一樣，長得都一個樣子。每個人都是神所寶貴的，在父母遺傳中，有特別的基因、長相、恩賜等，就如手指紋都各不相同。所以，我們要承認人與人的差別性，不要簡單
